DESIGNED BY AND FOR WOMEN WITH A MARINE SOUL
The Canary Islands
Hello, my name is Esperanza, owner of the brand ánima women’s Surf style.
I am a graphic designer, photographer, vegan, entrepreneur and mother of Noé.
Twelve years ago I moved with my baby from Madrid to Gran Canaria, fulfilling my wish to live in front of the sea.
At that time I loved swimming and freediving with monofin. In the Canary Islands I discovered surfing and it was love at first sight! A sport that makes me improve myself every day and that I am lucky enough to prac- tice every day.
I felt the need to create a brand that brought together all my passions: the sea, sustainability, water sports, design and photography. Ethical and sustainable surf ponchos with natural materials, with a unique design for women like me, with a marine soul.
Sustainable Style with a Purpose
We take great care in choosing the best natural fibres for our products. From authentic Turkish Peshtemal towels for our ponchos to GOTS cotton for our T-shirts. Equally important to us is a decent wage and conditions for the people who make them.
We support local NGOs that work for the conservation and protection of the marine wildlife and the reforestation of the Canary Archipelago as well as marine turtle’s preservation in Cape Verde.
